Frequently Asked Questions
What can I expect in the first session?
Our first session is a chance to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, your goals, and what you’d like to get out of the process.
For teens, the first session usually begins with a parent or caregiver to gather background information before moving into individual sessions.
How long are sessions?
Sessions are typically 50 minutes and held weekly, unless we decide together on a different schedule.
Do you offer in-person or online sessions?
Currently, I am only working remotely and providing secure teletherapy for clients across California.
What issues do you work with?
I support clients navigating:
Anxiety and depression
Trauma and stress
Life transitions
Low self-esteem
Relationship or family conflict
Identity exploration
If you're unsure whether I’m the right fit, feel free to reach out — I’m happy to talk it through.
How much do sessions cost?
My fee is $200 per 50-minute session.
I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots — feel free to reach out to discuss availability.
Payment is accepted via a payment app called Ivy Pay. I accept all major credit cards.
Do you take insurance?
I’m an out-of-network provider.
If your insurance offers out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill (a billing statement) that you can submit for possible reimbursement.
Be sure to check with your insurance company about coverage.
How do I get started?
I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation so we can see if we’re a good fit.
No pressure — just a conversation.
Is what I share confidential?
Yes. What you share in therapy is private and protected by law.
There are a few rare exceptions, such as if there is risk of harm to yourself or others, or if disclosure is required by law.
We’ll go over this in our first session so everything is clear and transparent.
